The Full Monty

The Full Monty

2017 – Roxy Revue Bar, Grand West Casino | Produced by Pinelands Players

The final scene of The Full Monty needed a moment. Not a lighting cue — a moment. Something that told the audience the men had committed, that the point of no return had been crossed, that what was about to happen was going to be spectacular.

The brief was a large illuminated sign — THE FULL MONTY — that would roll in and close the show. Nothing existed off the shelf that would do the job, so it was built from scratch.

The sign was constructed using pixel-mapped RGBW LEDs, allowing full colour control across the entire face — running sequences, colour shifts, and effects that a static sign simply couldn’t deliver. The programming and pixel mapping were done in collaboration with Chris Laurie, whose technical expertise was instrumental in bringing the piece to life.
